Wade Guindy Joins ReVolt Technology LLC as COO and EVP of Technology Industry Veteran to Head Global Operations for ReVolt Technology Group

Portland, Oregon, May 3, 2010 – ReVolt Technology, a technology company, which has developed a rechargeable zinc-air battery, today announced that Wade Guindy has accepted the appointment as COO and EVP of Technology of ReVolt Technology, LLC.

Wade Guindy, formerly Technical Advisory Board Member of ReVolt Technology, has recently accepted an appointment to join ReVolt’s senior management team as COO and EVP of Technology starting May 17, 2010. Mr. Guindy is a battery industry veteran with a strong track record of successfully developing and scaling innovative battery and medical device technologies as well as managing complex government development contracts. Mr. Guindy has held numerous executive management positions. His most recent role was working with Eksigent Technologies, a manufacturer of microfluidic systems for life science applications, which recently achieved a successful trade sale. Previously, Mr. Guindy worked with Solicore, Inc. for five years as EVP Technology and Manufacturing, developing polyimide polymer technology for lithium-polymer batteries. And prior, he worked for nine years with Valence Technology running all aspects of manufacturing and process engineering for lithium polymer battery technology. His early engineering career was in the defence sector working with GTE Government Systems and before that Teledyne. Mr. Guindy has a number of battery related patents to his name and a BS Industrial Engineering and an AS, Science and Manufacturing Engineering.

Mr. Guindy will be responsible for the coordination of the company’s global operations and regional development centers. Upon completion of the company’s anticipated successful negotiations for the recently announced $5 million ARPA-E BEEST grant award, Mr. Guindy will be based in Portland, Oregon and responsible for final site selection and staffing efforts of the US HQ and R&D facility.
