QoSMOS Announces Financing of 3.2 Million Euros

PARIS, May 9 -- QoSMOS, the French manufacturer of auditing and optimisation tools for IP networks, has concluded a 2nd round of financing from Sofinnova Partners to the sum of 3.2 million euros.

This is the second increase in capital from Sofinnova Partners, a venture capital company principally specialised in the new technologies sector and life sciences, and comes 2 years after an earlier 1st round of financing by the same company to the sum of 2 million euros.

Created in 2000 from one of the most important public research laboratories in France, the LIP6 laboratory of the University Pierre & Marie Curie, Paris 6, QoSMOS has specialised from the outset in the in-depth analysis of network traffic flows, operating a permanent technological watch and exploiting latest developments in the fields of monitoring, quality of services, security and mobility for IP networks.

This financing will enable QoSMOS to both consolidate its development in Europe, particularly in Great Britain, Germany, Italy, and Spain, and also to invest in its flagship product QoSMOS ForMyNet, specially designed for broadband solutions (Gigabit), and to pursue its research in the field of advanced protocol recognition.

QoSMOS ForMyNet is a tool designed to extract and collect business-critical information based on the analysis of data travelling over IP networks. The solution extracts data from the network systems of companies and telecommunications operators, producing information through the use of indicators that enable clients to measure the quality of services provided and to analyse service usages, thus informing and facilitating decision-making through the use of accurate and relevant business-critical data.
