Mentum Acquires Ascom’s Network Planning Business Unit Creating Global Leader in Network Planning

Acquisition extends Mentum’s global reach and enhances product offerings

PARIS, FRANCE— APRIL 16, 2010 - Mentum®, the industry’s leading wireless access and backhaul network planning and optimization company, today announced a definitive purchase agreement with Ascom for the TEMS CellPlanner and LinkPlanner product lines. The agreement transfers intellectual property, customer contracts, member staff, equipment and office located in Kista, Sweden. The financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

The combination of Ascom and Mentum products, services and expertise creates the world’s largest and most innovative wireless access and backhaul network planning company. The acquisition brings together some of the strongest solutions and competencies in the space, enabling Mentum to reinforce its leadership in 4G and network engineering automation.

This acquisition is expected to close by the end of the second quarter
