With hundreds competitors and just 10 finalists the “Mobile Innovation Global Awards”, organised by the GSMA is one of the most expected of the 2008 edition

Aix en Provence, France, January 24th, 2007 – INSIDE Contactless, a leading provider of advanced, open standard contactless chip technologies, today announced that the company is finalist in the “2008 Mobile Innovation Global Awards” in the category of the “Most Innovative Device Centric Technology”.  INSIDE was selected as a category finalist for its MicroRead™ product, which implements NFC (Near Field Communications) with several unique technical features which resulted in it being chosen for most of the 12 GSMA sponsored “Pay-Buy-Mobile” trails around the world.
One of the objectives of the Mobile Innovation Global Awards is to help the thousands of small and medium-sized companies who are developing innovative mobile products and services to reach mobile operators and bring their innovations to end-users globally.

Being one of the finalists is already an honour which will give high visibility. The finalists will now pitch their award candidate in front of a live audience and a panel of industry experts. The announcement of the winners for each category will be made on Tuesday 12th at noon. One finalist from each of the five categories and one overall winner will be selected and announced in Barcelona.

With more than 55 patents in its industry sector – some of which are essentials – and over 12 years of experience in contactless chip design INSIDE Contactless has got the potential to win its category.
By rewarding INSIDE Contactless, the jury of the “Mobile Innovation Award” will contribute to showing the full potential of NFC and contactless technology, and will confirm the trend through which they are set to profoundly change the relationship between users and their environment.
