Alain Blancquart Appointed CEO of Streamezzo

Paris, October 10th, 2006 – Streamezzo, a leading provider of Rich Media Mobile technologies, today announced that its board of directors has appointed Alain Blancquart as President and CEO of the company.  The board chose Alain Blancquart for his in-depth knowledge of the wireless industry and the wealth of his leadership experience which will be key assets to continue the growth of the company.
Streamezzo’s solutions are designed to help mobile operators deliver attractive and easy-to-use services such as mobile TV, music applications, portals and handset User Interfaces. It can be done with the same simplicity and quality experience as using the Web.

Alain Blancquart is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry. His stellar track record includes running large companies and successfully creating and bringing to market start-up companies. 

He started his career at Intertechnique, which he left in 1982 to head Micropro (WordStar) for Europe. Subsequently, he was named General Manager and then President of the EMEA region for Borland International.  He later joined Computervision, and then Global Knowledge as EMEA President prior to becoming General Manager and Vice President for Europe and the Middle-East for Phone.com (Openwave).  In 2002, he was called upon by Sofinnova to boost Esmertec –a Swiss Corporation – as its new General Manager.  He was later named Chairman & CEO of this company and was responsible for the company’s Initial Public Offering.
